Import from Personio
Connect Personio with an API credential on the Core Pro plan and bring in people, current pay, time off balances and absences, checked in a review first.
Squadra HR reads Personio through its public API with a credential you create. Personio offers custom API credentials on the Core Pro plan only. On another plan, use Personio’s employee export and the spreadsheet import.
Create the credential
Section titled “Create the credential”- In Personio, open Marketplace > Connected integrations > Create custom integration.
- Give it read access to Employees and Time off.
- Tick the employee attributes to share: first name, last name, email, gender, status, position, department, office, supervisor, hire date, termination date, contract end date, probation end, weekly hours, date of birth, phone, mobile, nationality, IBAN, employee number, fix salary and salary interval. An attribute you don’t tick is invisible to the credential.
- Copy the client ID and the client secret.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”Open Company > Import data, choose Personio, paste both values and choose Connect and read Personio.

Personio’s API gives current values, not job or pay history. The review says when people arrive without a work email, which usually means the email attribute isn’t ticked.
